Ace is ALMOST asleep-11pm and it has been a good evening with all three boys. Ace is saying tons of words and creating 3 and 4 word sentences. He is doing REALLY good in not touching the Christmas tree and points to it and says Christmas Tree - then touches his eyes and says eyes crying (because Grammy told him NO TOUCH - just LOOK with your EYES!!!) so Ace's eyes are crying (Ace's words - no actual tears). I LOVE how Ace is using his words.
Aaron and Kyle are scooting everywhere and the whole family looks GREAT in their family picture with Santa which is Grammy's new keychain picture!!!
Dal and Megan were surprised how cold it was up here in OKC - apparently the cold front had not made it through Ardmore before they left this afternoon heading to Santa in Norman and then Grammy's in OKC.
Dara, Mike and I had a GREAT GREAT weekend performing our Christmas program Saturday night and Sunday morning after dress rehearsal Friday night and then the icing on the cake was the concert last night with one of Dara's favorite singers, the new Veggie Tale's movie AND our childrens choir getting to sing!!! WHAT FUN!!!
Christmas Cards and Newsletter - Fri Night with Grams & Papaw, Christmas Wassail, Wrapping & Visiting parties at the house Sat & Sun then our family Christmas Tues the 20th then keeping the boys until Christmas Eve topped off by Christmas at Mike's parents and a movie on Christmas day. Busy Busy 10 days - but can't beat it - filled with family, friends and neighbors!!!
Merry Christmas Season!!!

November 30th - Thanksgiving Reflections
What a GRAND week we had last week as we celebrated Thanksgiving with family and friends cooking (Cherri) and cleaning (Mike and Dara) on Monday then gathering for an early Thanksgiving meal Tuesday night.
Nothing like 3 little boys to keep the energy going all night around Turkey and Dressing and all the accoutrements. We missed Papaw, who had surgery on his hand - and Terri and Gabriel, who had rehearsal and performances, but sent a loaded plate home with Grams for Papaw and got to see Terri and Gabriel on Thursday. Really missed Ryan and Kayleen but glad to hear they are in their home up in North Dakota close to Kayleen's folks.
Chase, Troy and Christie, Fern and JoJon along with Grams and Ty, Dal and Megan and the boys joined Mike and Dara and me for a fun evening of food and fellowship.
Mike, Dara and I had a blast with Ace, Kyle and Aaron Wednesday and Thursday when Ty, Dal, Megan, Terri and Gabriel rejoined us on Thanksgiving Day for leftovers with a roast chicken, corn bread salad added. Megan added a delicious white icing cake to the pies and cookies and the hit was a new recipe for fresh cranberry harvest relish.
The guys spent the afternoon watching football while us gals played games. Dal and Megan headed home with a loaded car of boys and food so that Dal could get to work for the evening. Mike headed over to the Moxleys for a Thanksgiving supper coming back to watch more football with Ty and Gabriel while Terri, Dara and I watched UP - the movie. The first 10 minutes of this cute cute story was very moving. THANK YOU, Terri, for bringing the movie.
Grams and Papaw gave each of us their Christmas picture card with them holding Ace, Kyle and Aaron....already one of my favorite pictures!!!
Terri and Gabriel got to stay the evening heading back fairly early on Friday and all was quiet again at the Moxleys. After an afternoon nap Mike, Dara and I enjoyed a game night with Rick and Cindy and their grandson Steven. Mike was the grand winner of Phooey and we couldnt forget the birthday call to Dal catching him JUST before he went to work. Dal is now 24 growing up fast being a responsible husband and dad.
We are blessed with family and friends and look forward to more good times this holiday season.

Megan's Birthday - Nov 15th
We had a BLAST with Megan, Dal, Ace, Kyle, Aaron, Grams and Papaw here at the Moxley house. Megan's birthday dinner was baked chicken, sweet potatoes, green bean haystacks, rolls and vanilla cake. After eating lunch together we played with the boys and visited while Grams took pictures and then Megan and Dal left to have an afternoon together.
Dara, Mike and I LOVED playing with the boys until Megan and Dal came back about 9pm and stayed for a few minutes watching some football.
Ace is saying some sentences and we all marvel at the words he is saying and repeating. Dal learned the hard way that little ears hear EVERYTHING and is gonna have to watch what he says at some of the referee calls. Nothing like a 2 yr old repeating some choice words!!!
Kyle and Aaron are getting around all over crawling army style and getting up on their knees and rocking back and forth. Aaron sat up maybe 4 or 5 minutes by himself until reaching for a toy he went on over onto his stomach.
GOOD GOOD boys!!! Megan and Dal are doing a GREAT job raising and loving on these three boys and Grammy, Pops and Dara LOVE giving Momma and Daddy break time!!!
Looking forward to next Tuesday when most of us will be together for an early Thanksgiving celebration here at the Moxley home.

Changes in our Motley Crew
Well, it was a fun poignant time with Ryan and Kayleen over chili and reminiscing as we said good bye to them heading out for North Dakota. Chase and Dara rounded out the dinner table and we all had fun besting each others stories of shenanigans in school including Kayleen getting smacked by a Sister telling her to pay attention, Ryan never making it to the last day of school, Chase's bicycle wrecks - but I think Mike topped us all with the stealing of the schools cannon and putting it in the principles yard which then got stolen by a rival school who dumped it in a lake.
FUN memories!!!
While the chile was cooking we had the privilege of keeping Ace, Kyle and Aaron while Megan and Dal celebrated their 3rd anniversary by seeing a movie, going out to eat and even bowling a game. They are truly learning to get as much in as they can in their "alone" time.
Aaron was scooting EVERYWHERE while Kyle turned in circles. Ace is labeling EVERYTHING with words and LOVES playing with his two brothers. Never a dull moment with three little boys.
If you havent yet, check out the boys halloween costumes on Megan's facebook account. TOO CUTE!!!
Dara and I are still enjoying going every Wednesday morning 10 am and singing the old hymns with about 10 to 15 of the residents at the retirement center just down the street. Today as we sang Dara's favorite song, JESUS PAID IT ALL, she teared up - the words of that song are HERS - she told the group.
I HEAR THE SAVIOR SAY "THY STRENGTH INDEED IS SMALL.
CHILD OF WEAKNESS, WATCH AND PRAY. FIND IN ME THINE ALL IN ALL."
FOR NOTHING GOOD HAVE I WHEREBY THY GRACE TO CLAIM.
I'LL WASH MY GARMENTS WHITE IN THE BLOOD OF CALVARY'S LAMB.
AND WHEN BEFORE THE THRONE I STAND IN HIM COMPLETE,
"JESUS DIED MY SOUL TO SAVE," MY LIPS SHALL STILL REPEAT.
JESUS PAID IT ALL; ALL TO HIM I OWE.
SIN HAD LEFT A CRIMSON STAIN; HE WASHED IT WHITE AS SNOW.
That is Dara's favorite song.
Hope all are having a GREAT week
ENJOY!!!

We're BACK!!!
It has been a while since we've blogged and now WE ARE BACK!!!
Just a fun way to stay in touch and we've SO enjoyed following Gram's and Papaw's blogs - not to mention other family member's blogs.
This month has been a wealth of family interactions from keeping Ace, Kyle and Aaron to hosting Ryan and Kayleen's after rehearsal gathering and then their beautiful wedding!!!
LOVED talking with Terri on the phone for 2 hours yesterday catching up on the AHA moments in our past few days which just LIGHTS MY FIRE and energizes me to continue in this multifaceted journey.
Ty sure made the OU vs TEXAS game interesting as he joined Dara, Mike and me and, BOY!!! did it get loud a couple of times!!!
We miss Dal and Megan living over an hour away in Ardmore instead of less than 30 minutes away in Norman and look forward to keeping the boys for a couple of hours November 1st so they can go out as we pass through on our way to Austin.
And LOVE that Chase drops by now and again as he heads to a library or museum on school projects.
Just a quick start on posting the goings and comings of our loved ones...attempting to stay in touch.
Love you guys TONS!!!
